Main goals of the UIP: Increase robot perception by measuring uncertainties while classifying objects with a camera.
This will allow on-line determination of the fittingness of the previous
off-line training. When an object is unrecognizable the robot will make use of
its symbiotic relationship with humans and ask for help, until being able to
classify the object. By the end of the day, the robot will upload to a database
its new knowledge and tomorrow he will be smarter but still very curious. Research interests: Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Robot Perception
